Our centre brings together multiple Australian universities, international universities and research facilities; state government departments; and Australian and overseas industry partners.
We strive to achieve excellence through our focussed research activities which produce high-quality outputs. Our collaborative research delivers impact and benefits to the Australian public through input to government policy and regulations, ethical management of research, and building researcher capabilities for the future. Our Centre has received international recognition and our startups have raised over AUD$180 million in venture capital.
Research activities
- Our research excellence is focussed on international recognition and reputation including collaborating with other major research centres.
- We do joint events with other research facilities and support our early career Centre members to participate in internships and fellowships in domestic and overseas facilities.
- We have an active visiting scholar program including significant keynote speaker invitations to our Centre Annual Conference.
- We run regular research seminars available to all Centre members, partners and affiliates which includes speakers both from inside and overseas collaborators.
- We are members of Science and Technology (STA) Australia and participate regularly in STA’s events including Science Meets Parliament and the Parliamentary Friends of Science events.
