Centre director Professor Ian Paulsen has been named of Australia’s research superstars in an annual list of the Top 40 researchers considered to have made a major contribution to science during their career.
Professor Paulsen made the lifetime achievers leaderboard for his work in microbiology and microbial genomics.
Macquarie University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor Sakkie Pretorius, recognises Professor Paulsen as an outstanding researcher. Commenting at the time Professor Paulsen was awarded a prestigious Australian Laureate Fellowship he said: “Professor Paulsen is a super black-belt in our field – with more than 200 publications, he is an Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) Highly Cited Researcher and one of the world’s top scientific minds.”
